Google SheetsIntegration
Syncing your Google Sheets with other apps like Notion, monday.com, and Smartsheet is seamless with resynced.io. This integration brings the power of spreadsheets to other apps - use advanced formulas, perform currency conversion, and build custom reports on live data with our two-way synchronization. You can adjust the sync direction, filter specific rows, and select which columns should be in sync to fit your needs.
How to connect
- Go to the Integrations page in resynced.io.
- Click the Add Connection button under Google Sheets to start.
- Authorize your Google Account by clicking the Authorize button, selecting your account, and following the prompts.
You must have Editor permissions for the spreadsheet you want to synchronize.
Once authorized, your account will appear as a connection in resynced.io.
Sync limits
API limits
Google Sheets allows 50 API requests per minute per user. If you have many updates, synchronization may take longer.
Tips
Table structure
To sync properly, ensure your Google Sheets have the following structure:
- Headers in the first row only. Only this row is used to locate and map data.
- Avoid multiple header rows — only the first row is recognized.
- Merged cells are not supported and will cause sync errors.
- Avoid blank rows between your data rows. New rows from resynced.io will be added after the last filled row.
Data types

Google Sheets detects the type of data automatically (e.g., text, numbers, dates). However, for accurate sync, each column must have consistent data types.
Every cell in the spreadsheet can have different formatting. When inserting a value into a sheet, resynced.io copies formatting from the first row with data.
If a column has mixed data types (e.g., text and numbers), mismatched data will be ignored during sync, and incorrect data will be replaced during two-way sync.
Example: If syncing a "Budget" column (set as "number" in both Google Sheets and resynced.io), entering text in the "Budget" column will prevent proper synchronization. The data from monday.com will overwrite it during sync.
You must ensure that the data type for each column in Google Sheets is set correctly before starting the synchronization and check that it matches the data type you've selected for reading in resynced.io.
Type conversion and formatting

In resynced.io, you can match and convert column types:
- In dropdown columns in Google Sheets, you can use chips or plain text to separate values with a comma. Both formats are supported
- Date columns can sync as either date-only or date with time, depending on your setup.
If columns don't match, you'll receive a notification.
Don't change sheet structure during sync
If you change your spreadsheet structure (e.g., rename fields), disable the synchronization in resynced.io before updating your sheet. After adjustments, re-enable the synchronization and configure it in resynced.io.
