Once authorized, your account will appear as a connection in resynced.io. You need to have Editor permissions on a spreadsheet you want to synchronize via resynced.io.

Spreadsheet formatting

For your spreadsheet to sync correctly, ensure it includes headers in the first row only, as resynced.io uses these to locate data.

Avoid using multiple headers within one sheet—only the first row will be recognized as headers.

In resynced.io, you can match and convert column types for synchronization.
For example:
· Dropdown columns in monday.com will be converted to text in Google Sheets.
· Date columns can sync as either a date or a date with time, depending on your setup.
If column types don’t match, the system will notify you.

Data types

Google Sheets doesn’t have strict "column types" like some apps (e.g., monday.com), where you define the type for each column (e.g., text, number, date). Instead, Google Sheets automatically detects the type of data you enter and formats the cell accordingly.
For example, if you type a date-like text, it’s treated as a date. The same goes for numbers.
This flexibility means columns can have different types of data (like text, numbers, or dates) in different cells. However, for syncing to work properly, the whole column needs to have one data type, and it must match what is defined in resynced.io configuration. If the types don't match, the sync will happen, but any mismatched data will be ignored. Plus, data from the other app will replace the incorrect data if it is a two-way sync.
For example, if you're syncing the Budget column from monday.com to Google Sheets, and you’ve set it as "number" in both Google Sheets and resynced.io, everything works fine. But, if you later enter numbers as text in Google Sheets, those changes won’t be synchronized during the next sync. Also, if it is a two-way sync, resynced.io will pull the budget data from monday.com and update Google Sheets.

Important

You must ensure that the data type for each column in Google Sheets is set correctly before starting the synchronization and check that it matches the data type you've selected for reading in resynced.io.

API limits

Google Sheets allows up to 50 API requests per minute per user. If you have thousands of updates a synchronization may take a while.

Additional tips

Avoid blank rows between data rows; new rows from resynced.io will be added after the last filled row.

Updating your spreadsheet

The connection between resynced.io and your spreadsheet may be affected if you rename or delete fields. If you need to make these updates, go to resynced.io and disable the synchronization. Then, update your Google Sheets, adjust your synchronization settings in resynced.io to match, and re-enable the synchronization.
