What is active synchronization and item in sync?
A synchronization is active if it successfully runs at least once in the past 24 hours (from 12 am to 12 am UTC).
An item in sync is a unit of data (e.g., an item in monday.com or a row in Google Sheets) kept in sync by one of your active synchronizations.
Counting items in a synchronization
For every synchronization, the system tracks the highest number of items kept in sync during 24 hours (from 12 am to 12 am UTC). Even if items are deleted from the apps later that same day, the system will still count the peak number of items synced for that day.
When syncing between apps (e.g., monday.com and Google Sheets), the system calculates items based on the app with a larger dataset. For example, if you sync monday.com board with 200 items and Google Sheets with 100 items, the system will count 200 items during the sync. If, during the next sync, both the monday.com board and Google Sheets each have 300 items, the system will count 300 items.
Daily reset of limits
At 12 am UTC each day, all your limits reset. For example, if you've created 10 synchronizations that include 600 items, the counters will remain at 10 synchronizations and 600 items until the reset. Even if you delete a synchronization or reduce the number of items during the day, they will still count as used until the reset at 12 am UTC.
Enabled vs. disabled synchronizations
· Enabled synchronizations are active and counted towards your limit.
· Disabled synchronizations don't count unless manually run.
For example, if you have 10 synchronizations, but only six are enabled, only those six count as active. However, if you manually run one of the four disabled synchronizations by clicking "Sync Now," it becomes active and is included in your limit, so you have seven active syncs. So, if synchronization is run even once within 24 hours, whether manually or automatically, it counts toward your daily limit. All subsequent runs of that synchronization won’t add up to the limit.
